Our opinion

Trimmaster T310 Treadmill

The Trimmaster T310 folding Trimaster treadmill is new for 2008 and opens up the Trimmaster brand to the £500-£700 bracket. The benefit of this is that you get Trimmaster Treadmill build quality and warranty for less money. The T310 treadmill is ideal for walking, jogging and running, with its electric powered incline and medium size deck, however for serious runners I would suggest something with a slightly larger deck like the Trimmaster T360 or Tunturi T40 treadmill.

The Trimmaster T310 treadmill has quick keys for both incline and speed allowing you to adjust the settings with the touch of a button allowing you to concentrate on your workout! The T310 treadmill also has the benefit of only weighing 69kg and its smaller size means it’s easy to fold and move if required, excellent for someone older or for people with limited room.

In summary the T310 treadmill is excellent for people who have limited space and are going to be mostly using it for walking, jogging and moderate running.

Our Opinion

Tunturi C40 Crosstrainer

The Tunturi C40 crosstrainer has been significantly improved for 2008 with an improved console and plenty more features. Our favourite feature is the T-Trainer which is a feature which has filtered down from last year’s top of the range Tunturi crosstrainers. The benefit of the T-Trainer is that you are instructed on how to exercise and it keeps you motivated and interested in achieving your fitness goals. Until you use the T-Trainer you do not realise how many different ways you can use a crosstrainer to improve your fitness levels! Just watch and copy the animated person on the screen and you’ll soon be feeling fitter.

The new console also allows different users to register their details which allow the C40 crosstrainer to provide personalised feedback which is great when the Tunturi C40 crosstrainer is going to be used by more than one person.

The frame is solid and so in use the C40 crosstrainer feels stable and very reassuring.

In summary the Tunturi C40 crosstrainer has been significantly improved for 2008 which is impressive as the 2007 model was one of our best sellers.

Our opinion

This set consists of 2 x 35cm Chrome Spinlock Bars 2.5Kg & 4 x 0.5Kg Chrome Plates & 8 x 1Kg Chrome Plates allowing you to increase and decrease the weight you require.

The weights allow you to have upto 7.5kg per dumbbell or a maximum of 11.5kg on one dumbbell. The chrome bars have a textured finish which means you have plenty of grip when holding on to them even if your hands get a little sweaty.

Our Opinion

The Bremshey Control T treadmill has the same excellent deck and folding system as the Bremshey Pacer T treadmill but with some added features. There is an orthopaedic running belt which is more absorbent than a regular belt so there is less impact on your joints. The Bremshey Control T treadmill is the perfect treadmill for those looking to minimise joint impact and still have the heart rate controlled program and high top speed. In fact "Which" magazine have just voted the Bremshey Control T Treadmill as a "Best Buy" in their latest publication.

Our opinion

The Reebok i-run treadmill is the best sub £599.99 treadmill we’ve seen, not only does it look really cool but it is solid and stable in use. The LCD display is bright and easy to read and there are some basic programs which vary the speed during your workout. The top speed of 14 km/h is impressive and more than adequate enough for the average user, and the motor is smooth and jerk free. The two levels of incline are adjusted manually, but considering the size and price of the i-run this is hardly surprising. It’s very simple to fold, you just push one button, and it’s so slim it can even fit under a bed. Another big advantage of the i-run is that it’s ready to use the moment you remove it from its packaging, simply plug it in and run!

The Reebok i-run really is an excellent value treadmill and one that we our pleased to offer, happy exercising.

Our opinion

The Trimmaster T380 HRE treadmill is the most expensive treadmill in the Trimmaster range and it has the features and build quality to match. The deck has a super soft dual stage construction which has been designed to absorb foot impacts. So along with the orthopaedic running belt the T380 HRE provides an excellent running surface. The motor has been increased to 3hp and ensures a smooth workout. The T380 HRE has 15 programs including 3 heart rate controlled programs which allow a safe and effective workout and 3 user programs give you a varied workout
The 380 HRE has the same built in fan and speaker as the other models and comes complete with a heart rate strap allowing you to take full advantage of the heart rate controlled programs. The 380 HRE has been designed to last and should provide years of excellent service.
