We’ve all done it, I’ll visit the gym tomorrow when I’ve got more time and I’ve filled the car up with petrol!! Problem is that tomorrow usually arrives and you find another excuse. The problem with this is that you’re paying for a gym membership and you’re not loosing weight or achieving your fitness goals. Many people who have gym memberships enjoy the social aspect of visiting the gym and look forward to their visit. However there are some of us out there who want to keep fit and loose weight without using a gym. Maybe it’s the thought of the drive, the cost of parking the car, the gym showers, or the body builder who looks at you and makes you feel so pathetic.
During the summer there are plenty of outdoor activities such as running, walking, cycling, surfing and swimming to help us stay fit and loose weight. However during the winter months and for those of you who live in the cities these activities are not always possible. Exercising in the comfort of your own home is the answer and it’s becoming more affordable. You do not have to spend a lot of money, for example you could purchase a Swiss ball for as little as £18 and just sit on it whilst you watch your favourite TV show every evening. Yes that’s right just sitting on the ball is going to help, it builds up your core muscles and helps with coordination.
